You’re making plans
that I don’t know
Guess it doesn’t matter
cuz you’re not mine to call home
Would it be stupid to try?
The simple shit
like talking late
Makes me wonder how it’d feel with you
on a real date
Would it be stupid to try?
My mother always thought that I would be a good therapist
Do you really like me or do you just need a therapist
Oh do you really like me or do you just need a therapist
You make a mess
in text message
Love language only understanding in secret
Inside joke, allegory, and lie
But regular correspondences
wouldn’t be too much to ask for tell me now would it
be stupid to try?
My mother always thought that I would be a good therapist
Do you really like me or do you just need a therapist
Oh do you really like me or do you just need a therapist
Was I the audience that you hoped for
Well I just wanted some kind of closeness
But even if you screw me over
I’ll be right here in your corner
(my favorite fucking corner)
(would it stupid? yeah maybe)
(my favorite fucking corner)
(would it be)
(my mother always thought that i would be a good therapist)
(stupid? yeah maybe)
(My mother always thought that I would be be a good therapist)

This is almost certainly my favorite concept album ever made and definitely my favorite Louie Zong work. I am just in awe of how well it captures the idea of traveling through a strange, dying world. Amazing. CyanStrawberry
